What they do
Through community engagement, they establish and maintain culturally informed working relationships to do all the following:
- promote and improve access to our payments and services
- build relationships with communities and third party organisations, and across government
- improve service delivery to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people by understanding their needs
- increase awareness of the agency’s online services for customers and organisations
- assist customers to connect with services in their area to support their needs
- provide support and assistance in complex cases
- help our staff understand cultural practices in servicing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
