If you travel outside Australia temporarily, you’ll keep the full Pension Supplement for up to 12 weeks instead of the current 6 weeks. After 12 weeks, we’ll stop paying Pension Supplement.
If you leave Australia to live overseas, we’ll stop paying Pension Supplement as soon as you leave. This also applies if you’re already living overseas on 20 September 2026.
This change only affects Pension Supplement. If you’re still eligible, you’ll continue to get your main payment.
