AusAlert is a new national emergency warning system starting soon. It sends alerts to mobile phones in at-risk areas.
You don’t need to do anything during the test.
Your device will vibrate, play a siren‑like sound for about 10 seconds and display a test message.
During your specified test time you can turn your device off or use aeroplane mode, if you think the alert might make you or a family member feel unsafe.
In an emergency, alerts will tell you what’s happening and what to do.
Find out where and when tests will send test alerts to mobile devices on the AusAlert website.
