We’ve improved alerts for better visibility, readability and comprehension.

Alerts let customers know important, timely information that affects our payments and services.

As part of our continuous improvements schedule we tested and compared different alert notification designs. We tested 120 participants across desktop and mobile platforms to see which version performed best.

The alert design used on the myGov website consistently performed best for noticeability, understanding, trust and mobile usability.

We’ve updated alerts on the Services Australia website to align with this design. This means we can deliver a better, more consistent experience across the agency’s websites.
