New online mental health support service available for patients

The Medicare Mental Health Check In is a new free online service to help patients manage their mental health.

The service offers early mental health support using Low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (LiCBT).

It will be available in stages, starting on 30 March 2026. Patients can access:

  • practical self-care tips
  • guided support by phone or video to help them understand their feelings
  • self-guided LiCBT resources starting on 30 May 2026.
