Referral by child protection authority
Your payments can be income managed if your local child protection authority refers you.
This is because the caseworker believes Income Management can help you and your family.
If you do not agree with their decision, you need to contact them.
You’ll be income managed for 3 to 12 months. After that, a caseworker from your local child protection authority will review your progress. Depending on the result, Income Management may continue.
What happens to your money
We’ll manage both:
- 70% of your payments
- 100% of any advance and lump sum payments.
We’ll make the rest of your payments as usual.
Reviews and appeals
You have the right to appeal any decision we make. Read about reviews and appeals.
