Additional financial support when you’re affected by coronavirus (COVID-19).
You may be able to get the Coronavirus Supplement if you get at least $1 of an eligible income support payment.
The temporary Coronavirus Supplement is available at a rate of:
- $250 per fortnight until 31 December 2020
- $150 per fortnight between 1 January and 31 March 2021.
The extension from 1 January to 31 March 2021 is subject to the passage of legislation.
The Coronavirus Supplement is taxable income. You can ask us to set up a tax deduction for you. This means that your tax will come out of your payment automatically.
You can get financial assistance for coronavirus if you get an eligible income support payment.
The Coronavirus Supplement is a fortnightly payment on top of your eligible income support payment.
