Child Disability Assistance Payment

An automatic yearly payment if you get Carer Allowance for looking after a child with a disability or serious illness. You must get Carer Allowance for 1 July to qualify.

Who can get it

To be eligible, you must get Carer Allowance for a child younger than 16 on 1 July.

How to get it

You don’t need to apply for Child Disability Assistance Payment. We’ll pay it straight into your bank account if you’re eligible.

How much you can get

Each year you can get up to $1,000 for each child who qualifies for Carer Allowance.
