Your child’s payment could stop unless you take action

Published: 12 September 2023

If your child gets Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY from us, we may need your income details.

We usually ask for your income details annually until your child is 22. This is so we can make sure we’re paying them the right amount.

Your child should get a letter in September. It will tell you how to give us your income information online. If you don’t know your total income you can give an estimate.

You need to do the review by the date in the letter. This will avoid your child’s payment stopping.

If we don’t send your child a letter it’s because we already know your income.

Find out how to update your parental income details online. Call your child’s regular payment line if you can’t report online.
