Why you may not have a Family Tax Benefit balancing outcome yet

18 July 2022

If you don’t have your FTB balancing outcome yet, we may be waiting for more information.

You should check:

  • you have confirmed your income with us
  • your partner has confirmed their income, if you had one during the financial year
  • you got your last FTB payment for 2021-22.

It can take up to 28 days for us to get your income information from the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). This is from the date you get your Notice of Assessment.

We may not balance your payments straightaway if you’ve been affected by an emergency in 2022 and we’ve paid you too much during the year.

If your balancing is paused, you don’t need to do anything. We’ll write to you once the pause has lifted.

To track your balancing progress, use your Express Plus Centrelink mobile app.
