What it is

ParentsNext helps parents with children under 6 to plan and prepare for future study or employment.

If you’d like to take part, we’ll connect you with a ParentsNext provider who can do any of the following:

  • help you set study and work goals
  • meet with you regularly
  • help you access services in the local community
  • help you access financial support, including towards the costs of starting work or study.

You don’t have to look for work right now. However, it’s important to think about your study and work goals for when your children are school aged.

New service starts November 2024

A new voluntary pre-employment service to help parents with young children starts November 2024. It will replace the existing ParentsNext service ceasing October 2024.

We’ll update you when more information is available.
