We’re restarting work on paused debt reviews and explanations

Published: 7 May 2024

We paused these reviews and explanations because the debt might have involved income apportionment.

If we paused your explanation or review, we’ll contact you to let you know what’s happening.

We’ll look at your debt to see if it involved income apportionment.

If it did, we’ll need to recalculate the debt. We’ll do this using updated information. You’ll get a letter from us to explain how this process will work.

Most debts won’t go away. They’ll either get smaller or bigger.

Once we’ve reviewed your debt, we’ll write to you to let you know the outcome.

This work is complex and will take some time.

If you haven’t heard from us, your review and debt will remain paused. There’s nothing you need to do.
