If you get a student payment from us and you’re thinking about changing your study plans, you need to let us know.
Changes to your study plans could include:
- dropping a subject
- deferring your study
- changing your course or provider.
Dropping a subject may mean you’re no longer a full time student and not eligible for a student payment. Changing your course could mean your new course isn’t approved for student payments.
If you decide to make a change, you need to do this before your university or TAFE census date.
If you get a student payment from us, you need to let us know about these changes within 14 days.
It’s best to let us know straight away. That way, if there is a change to your payment, we won’t overpay you and you won’t owe money.
