Update online or your child’s student payment could stop

6 September 2022

If your child gets Youth Allowance or ABSTUDY, we may need you to update your income details.

To make sure we’re paying your child correctly, we’ll ask for your income details. We do this each year until your child is 22.

Your child should get a letter in September. It will tell you how to update your income details online. You need to do this by the date in the letter. This will avoid your child’s payment being stopped.

If you don’t know your total income, you can give an estimate.

We won’t send a letter when we already know your income.

Find out how to update your parental income details.
