Time's running out for you to confirm your 2020-21 family income

25 October 2022

If you got Family Tax Benefit (FTB) in the 2020-21 financial year, we need your confirmed family income now.

You need to confirm your family income for 2020-21 so we can balance your payments. To do this, you need to lodge your tax return. If you had a partner in 2020-21, they’ll also need to lodge their tax return.

If you don't confirm your income by 31 October, we’ll ask you to repay all the FTB you got in the 2020-21 financial year. Your fortnightly FTB payments may also stop.

If you and your partner have already lodged a 2020-21 tax return with the Australian Taxation Office, they'll send us your details. There's nothing else you need to do.

If you or your partner don't need to lodge a tax return, let us know. Find out how to tell us about non lodgement.
