How to update your digital certificate with a state check in app
If you’ve had a booster dose, you can choose to update your digital certificate to show all your COVID-19 vaccinations. You need to share your updated COVID-19 digital certificate with your state check in app.
To do this, first delete your old digital certificate from your check in app. Then, follow the steps to share your digital certificate with a state check in app to save your updated digital certificate.
Once updated, the COVID-19 digital certificate will show all your COVID-19 vaccinations, including your booster dose.
How to unlink your digital certificate from a state check in app
After adding your digital certificate to a state check in app, you can choose to stop sharing your vaccination status.
You can do this by unlinking your digital certificate using any of the following:
- the Express Plus Medicare mobile app
- your Medicare online account through myGov
- the Individual Healthcare Identifier service through myGov.
Follow the steps for adding your digital certificate to the state check in app and select Share with check in app. Choose a state check in app to unlink your certificate with and select Unlink certificate.
Unlinking your digital certificate will withdraw your consent to share your vaccination status with the check in app. No further updates of your vaccination information will be shared with the check-in app.
Unlinking won’t remove your digital certificate from the check in app. You’ll need to go to the check in app you’ve shared your digital certificate with, and remove it yourself.
