During the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, we’re telling you about the support we have available.
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based violence calls for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls. It runs from 25 November 2020 to 10 December 2020.
This campaign raises awareness and understanding of family and domestic violence. You can read about what family and domestic violence is here.
We have support available to help your patients if they’re affected by family and domestic violence. We can help them access our payments and services.
We can provide people affected by family and domestic violence with:
- social work support including short term counselling and crisis intervention
- referrals for ongoing support and assistance.
If you’re helping someone to access support from us, you can direct them to our Payment and Service Finder. This helps them to locate support services in their area.
You can also direct them to our family and domestic violence page. This will help them find the type of services and referrals we offer.
If someone needs immediate help, you should call the Police on 000.
