Flu season is here
26 June 2020
You can record vaccines on the AIR for people of all ages. This includes NIP vaccines, flu and shingles.
It’s important you record all vaccines you give to your patients on the AIR, including flu vaccines.
Recording incorrect details can delay vaccines showing on your patient’s immunisation history.
The fastest way to record patient information on the AIR is by using your practice software or the AIR site. You can also use the AIR to see the vaccines your patient had.
Vaccines you record on the AIR will show on your patient’s immunisation history.
Your patient may need an immunisation history for their employment, travel or entry into some places.
Your patient can get their immunisation history using their Medicare online account or the Express Plus Medicare mobile app.
Or you can print a copy for them from the AIR site.
You can record flu and other adult vaccines on the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR).
Australians over 70 years and Indigenous Australians over 50 years may get a free pneumococcal vaccine.
