Aged care providers – September 2019 Quarterly Review
20 September 2019
The Quarterly Review sets fees from 20 September 2019, based on a care recipient’s financial details.
We review the costs of aged care 4 times a year in January, March, July and September. This ensures the cost of a person’s aged care services aligns with changes in their financial circumstances. Our review also includes indexation changes, which generally occur in March and September.
The next Quarterly Review for Residential Care and Home Care will run across 2 weekends.
- Residential Care (SPARC) on Saturday 21 September 2019
- Home Care (ACMPS) on 28 September 2019.
Both will have a date of effect from 20 September 2019.
We’ll send you a letter if there are any changes to either a care recipient’s:
- income or means tested fee
- contribution to accommodation costs, including if a refund is due.
We’ll send letters from the week commencing 30 September 2019.
If a care recipient is due a refund, we’ll pay you the refund amount in your next finalised claim.

New and existing care recipients can make their income and asset details available to their service provider.
There are annual and lifetime caps for care recipients who entered care on or after 1 July 2014.
