Services Australia general manager Hank Jongen, said the new service centre was just 1.4km from the former Riverview Drive site, and had a contemporary layout to make it easier for customers to access services.
“Our customers will appreciate upgraded facilities, making it easier for them to access the Centrelink and Medicare services they need.
“An Aged Care Specialist Officer is also available by appointment to provide information about the different types of aged care services, basic fee information and how to register for My Aged Care. To make an appointment call the Aged Care line on 1800 227 475.
“Centrelink customers who like certainty around the time they can speak with a staff member face-to-face or over the phone can call their regular payment line to book an appointment,” Mr Jongen said.
“Digital coaching is also available for Medicare and Centrelink customers who are looking for extra support to access our online services.”
Mr Jongen said the new service centre was in a convenient location with ample free parking and a bus stop outside.
Berri Service Centre is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
