More suburbs can claim disaster assistance for Western Victoria Bushfires, February 2024

Disaster support has been extended to additional areas for the bushfires in Western Victoria that started in February 2024.

Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment is a lump sum payment to help if you’ve been seriously affected by this disaster. You may be eligible if any of the following apply:

  • your home or major assets that you own at your home have been severely damaged or destroyed
  • you’ve been seriously injured
  • your immediate family member has died or is missing.

We also have payments for New Zealand citizens living in Australia.
