The Australian Government has announced that eligible people living in these Local Government Areas (LGAs) will get an Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment - Special Supplement:
- Ballina
- Byron
- Clarence Valley
- Kyogle
- Lismore
- Richmond Valley
- Tweed.
To be eligible, you must have received or you’ll get Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (AGDRP) or New Zealand Disaster Recovery Payment (NZ DRP) for the NSW Floods which started in February 2022 for one of these LGAs.
You don’t need to submit a claim for the Special Supplement. After you get your AGDRP or NZ DRP, we’ll pay the Special Supplement into your nominated bank account.
Eligible adults will get an additional $2,000 and each dependent child under 16 will get an additional $800.
We’ll pay the Special Supplement in 2 parts.
