You must tell us about all General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners working at your practice, so we can calculate your practice payments correctly.

The Standardised Whole Patient Equivalent (SWPE) value is the basis for most Practice Incentives Program (PIP) and Workforce Incentives Program (WIP) - Practice Stream payments.

Your practice SWPE value won't include all eligible services if you don’t tell us about all GPs and NPs working there.

If your practice uses a Payee Provider arrangement, you must register the Payee Provider at the practice as a current practice GP.

We may deny a request to review a SWPE value if you haven’t kept your practice GPs and NPs up to date.

You can check your current GPs and NPs:

  • in HPOS
  • on your quarterly payment advice
  • on your PIP Confirmation Statement
  • on your WIP - Practice Stream Quarterly Confirmation Statement.

You need to do this within 7 days of the change, or at least 7 days before the next point in time date.
