Getting approved for our payments can take several weeks. If you need help while waiting, there are services that can help with food and shelter. They can also give you tips on how to save on your bills. As well as other financial options, like loans or accessing your super early.

While you’re waiting to get a payment from us you can check out the AskIzzy website. It’s free and anonymous to use search services to find housing, meals, healthcare and more in your area.

Some State Governments have help and tips on how to save money on the cost of living. You can use the following in your state:

Get help managing your bills and debt

If you can’t afford to pay your bills, call the service that provides the item your bill relates to. They might be able to reduce or defer your payments. This includes for things like:

  • mortgage, loan, credit card and store card repayments
  • rates
  • gas, electricity and water
  • phone, internet and pay TV.

There are also tools and services that can help you manage your money.
