Find out if there are changes to your payments and services due to coronavirus (COVID-19).
There are changes to some payments and services for people affected by coronavirus.
You may get the Coronavirus Supplement from late April 2020. We'll pay this as part of your normal payment. You may also get the first Economic Support Payment. We'll pay this into your bank account automatically.
You won’t get the second Economic Support Payment in July 2020 if you get the Coronavirus Supplement.
If you live in a rural and remote area check if there’s a change if you’re a:
- job seeker
- person with disability
- older Australian
- student or trainee
- family or separated parent
- person who doesn’t get a payment from us.
We’ll waive some waiting periods from 25 March 2020 to 24 September 2020. This is if you’re applying for 1 of these payments:
- Youth Allowance
- Parenting Payment
- Farm Household Allowance
- Special Benefit.
How to contact us
You can use our online services to do business with us if you’re concerned about coming to a:
- service centre
- Agent or Access Point
- Mobile Service Centre.
Tell us about changes of circumstances or report your income using one of these self service options:
- Centrelink online account through myGov
- using the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app
- Centrelink phone self service
- call the Income reporting line.
If you don’t have access to a self service option please call us on your regular payment line.
