What it covers
Under the scheme, we can help you with reasonable out of pocket costs for health care you get in Australia.
The health care must be as a direct result of the event. Each event under the scheme has its own guidelines or rules.
These out of pocket costs are the costs you still have after you’ve already claimed from:
- other state or territory funded programs
- your private travel or health insurance fund.
The scheme covers out of pocket costs for some or all of the following goods and services you get in Australia. Your receipt must state your treatment was for an injury or condition you got as a direct result of the event.
We can help you with medical treatment you get in Australia and medicine related to that treatment.
