Who can get it
You need to meet eligibility rules to get the MH17 Family Support Package.
The MH17 Family Support Package provides payments for the families of Australian MH17 victims attend legal proceedings in the Netherlands.
The package is for up to 2 family members of each victim. It applies to travel once per travel period, for up to the next 3 years. You’ll also need to apply each year the payment is available.
To get this payment, you must meet all of these:
- be a family member of an Australian who died in the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 on 17 July 2014
- be observing or taking part in the legal proceedings in the Netherlands
- have travel insurance.
The payment applies to 1 trip per travel period per family member, for up to 2 family members.
