You must meet residence rules to get Dad and Partner Pay.
You must be living in Australia and have 1 of the following:
- Australian citizenship
- a permanent visa
- a Special Category visa
- a certain temporary visa, such as a partner provisional, interdependency or temporary protection visa.
You must continue to meet the residence rules for each day of your Dad and Partner Pay period.
You usually need to be an Australian resident to get a payment from us. This page explains how we define an Australian resident.
