How much you can get
The amount of COVID-19 Disaster Payment - Victoria you can get depends on your situation.
How much you get depends on the hours of work you lost.
If you’re eligible, you’ll get $450 if any of the following apply:
- you lost at least 8 hours of work
- you lost less than 20 hours of work
- you couldn’t work a full day for that week.
If you’re eligible, you’ll get $750 if you lost 20 hours or more that week.

The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is tax free income and you don’t need to include it in your tax return.
A full day of your usual work is what you were scheduled to work but could not because of a restricted movement order. This includes not being able to attend a full time, part time or casual shift of less than 8 hours.
