Cashless Debit Card
The Australian Government is delivering payments in some areas using a Cashless Debit Card.
At the moment new customers won’t start the Cashless Debit Card due to coronavirus (COVID-19). If you already have a Cashless Debit Card, you can still get help if you need it.
On 10 December 2020 a bill was passed with changes to the continuation of cashless welfare. Read more about what the extension means for you.
A Cashless Debit Card looks and works like a normal bank debit card. You can’t use it to buy alcohol, gamble, or get cash out.
Who gets a Cashless Debit Card depends on your age, where you live and what payment you get from us.
