You may get COVID-19 Disaster Payment if you’re in Tasmania

There’s support available if you’re affected by the COVID-19 lockdown in Tasmania.

The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is a lump sum payment to help workers unable to earn income due to a COVID-19 state or territory public health order. This may involve a lockdown, hotspot or movement restrictions.

You may be eligible for the COVID-19 Disaster Payment if you live or work in one of the following Local Government Areas in Tasmania:

  • Brighton
  • Central Highlands
  • Clarence City
  • Derwent Valley
  • Glamorgan-Spring Bay
  • Glenorchy
  • Hobart City
  • Huon Valley
  • Kingborough
  • Sorell
  • Southern Midlands
  • Tasman.

Claims open from Friday 22 October for the relevant period 16 to 18 October 2021.
