Update your income estimate if you get the Coronavirus Supplement

The Coronavirus Supplement is taxable income you must include in your family income estimate.

You must keep your family income estimate up to date. This is so you get the right amount of Family Tax Benefit and Child Care Subsidy.
If your family's income changes during the year, you need to update your income estimate. This helps reduce the chance of an overpayment when we balance your payments.
You need to include various types of income in your estimate. This includes some new payments you may get from us, like the Coronavirus Supplement. This is because it’s taxable income.
If you or your partner get the Coronavirus Supplement, remember to include the amounts in your income estimate. You must include all amounts you expect to get for the whole financial year.
The Coronavirus Supplement rate is changing from 1 January 2021. Please keep this mind when estimating your income.
