Working while you study is straightforward when you can report your income online.

If you get a student payment, like Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY or Austudy, it’s totally okay to work while you study.

You don’t need to call us to report your income. You can do it online in just a few steps, even if you’ve earned more money than the previous fortnight.

You can also now check your reporting dates online 12 weeks in advance. This helps you report at the right time. Remember, your reporting dates may change because of our closures for Australia Day and other public holidays.

Checking your future reporting dates online means you don’t have to contact us. You also don’t need to wait for us to give you a reporting statement.

If you don’t have an online account, you can still do these things in person or over the phone.
