Mutual obligations paused for job seekers in Victoria
12 February 2021
Mutual obligation suspensions or penalties don’t apply for any job seekers in Victoria until Tuesday 23 February 2021.

We’ve temporarily paused mutual obligation requirements because of coronavirus (COVID-19).
This means until Tuesday 23 February 2021, you won’t get suspensions or penalties for not meeting your mutual obligation requirements.
From Tuesday 23 February 2021, you’ll need to start meeting them again.
If you live in Victoria, please don’t come into our service centres unless it’s absolutely essential. If you need to claim a payment or do routine business this week, we ask that you do this either:
- online
- through our phone services.
You can call us on your regular payment line from 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday.
If you need to visit a service centre in Victoria, you must wear a mask or face covering. Children under 12 years of age don’t need to wear a mask or face covering.
Due to COVID-19, service centres may be closed, or open at different times. To find out about changes, please check customer service changes before you visit.
