How to track your Youth Allowance or Austudy claim online

Use your Centrelink online account or electronic messaging to track your Youth Allowance, Austudy or ABSTUDY claim.
If you want to know what’s happening with your claim, you can track it online. You don’t need to phone us or visit an office.
We’ll keep you updated on your claim online. We’ll also tell you if you need to give us more information.
To find the status of your claim in the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app select My claims from the home screen.
As well as your online account or the app, you can get updates from us by subscribing to electronic messaging. You can choose to get messages by SMS or email when the status of your claim changes.
When we’ve assessed your claim and worked out if you’re eligible, we’ll send you a letter. This will either be a letter to your myGov Inbox or in the post, depending on which method you choose. You don’t need to contact us.
If you’ve already told us you want to get electronic messages, we’ll send you 1 of those as well. That will either be an email or SMS to let you know the outcome.
If you want to call us to discuss your claim, contact us on the Youth and students line. If you submitted a claim online, have your claim ID number ready. We give you this number when you submit your claim.
