You may get COVID-19 Disaster Payment for Katherine, Robinson River and surrounding homelands if you’ve lost income.
The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is a lump sum payment to help workers unable to earn income due to a COVID-19 state or territory public health order. This may involve a lockdown, hotspot declaration, or movement restrictions.
You may be eligible for this payment if you live or work in Katherine, Robinson River and surrounding homelands in the Northern Territory.
Claims open from 23 November 2021 for the relevant period 16 to 22 November 2021.
Check if you’re eligible and how to claim the COVID-19 Disaster Payment:
- if you don’t get a Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) payment
- if you get a Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) payment.
You can call the Centrelink Indigenous Call Centre if you’re an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Australian. If you need to talk to someone in your language, let us know and we’ll arrange an interpreter for you. You can also visit Katherine Service Centre.
