Extension of mutual obligations pause in NSW
15 July 2021
We’re extending the pause of mutual obligation requirements for some job seekers to 3 August 2021.
This temporary pause applies if you live in Greater Sydney or one of the following Local Government Areas (LGAs):
- City of Sydney
- Canada Bay
- Inner West
- Blue Mountains
- Central Coast
During this period, no payment suspensions or financial penalties will apply if you don’t meet your mutual obligation requirements.
If you don’t live in one of these LGAs and don’t meet your mutual obligation requirements, payment suspensions or financial penalties may apply.
This applies to job seekers in jobactive, Online Employment Services, Disability Employment Services and participants in ParentsNext.
