Did you get a class action notice?
19 June 2020
You may have got a notice from us about a class action. This is not a debt letter.
We recently sent notices to some people with important legal information about a class action.
A class action is a lawsuit on behalf of a group of people who have been affected in a similar way. Gordon Legal has filed a class action lawsuit against the Commonwealth of Australia. This is on behalf of 5 applicants and other group members.
As part of this class action, the Federal Court required us to send these notices to a group of people.
You may have got one through myGov or in the mail.
It’s important to know this notice is not a debt recovery letter.
If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Gordon Legal.
If you can’t access their website, you can contact Gordon Legal by phone on 1300 001 356.
If you didn’t get a letter, but think you should have, please contact Gordon Legal.
We will soon start refunding money to people who made repayments to eligible income compliance debts.
If you did, take action now. Otherwise, your current Family Tax Benefit (FTB) payments may stop.
