Claim Family Tax Benefit (FTB) by 30 June 2021
3 May 2021
If you didn’t get FTB during the 2019-20 financial year, you can claim it as a lump sum.
You have until 30 June 2021 to claim FTB as a lump sum. If you don’t, you may miss out on payments.
You’ll also need to confirm your 2019-20 family income by 30 June 2021. You can confirm your income by either:
- lodging a tax return with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)
- telling us you don’t need to lodge and confirming your income with us, which you can tell us in your claim.
If you have a partner, we’ll need their confirmed income as well.
Read more about time limits for submitting lump sum claims.
If you’re not able to claim or confirm your family income by 30 June 2021, call the Families line.
