Centrelink payment summaries will be available from early July

23 June 2021

Your Centrelink payment summary shows payments you got from us this financial year. You might need it for your tax return.

You can get a copy of your Centrelink payment summary from early July using either:

Centrelink payment summaries show your taxable and some non-taxable payments. Not all payments you get will show on the Centrelink payment summaries. Payments that won’t show include Family Tax Benefit, Child Care Subsidy, Carer Allowance and the Economic Support Payment.

If you received the Coronavirus Supplement you won’t see it reported separately. You can find it included in the total of the payment you received with the supplement. This includes JobSeeker Payment, Youth Allowance, Parenting Payment, ABSTUDY, Austudy or Farm Household Allowance.

If you received Pandemic Leave Disaster Payment this will not be included on your Centrelink Payment Summary. But it is taxable and will be reported separately by us to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

If you wait until mid-July to lodge your tax return online, your Centrelink payment summary information will be pre-filled in the ATO’s myTax system.

If your employer reports your income to the ATO through Single Touch Payroll, you must wait for the 2020-21 pre-filled information from Centrelink before lodging your tax return. Otherwise, you may need to amend your tax return later. You can find more information on the ATO website by searching 'pre-fill availability' from 1 July.

If the information on your 2020-21 Centrelink payment summary changes, we’ll tell you. The change will also get updated in myTax. The ATO will update this information weekly starting from mid-July. If it doesn’t update, check with the ATO.
