There’s support available if you’re affected by the COVID-19 lockdown in Katherine.
The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is a lump sum payment to help workers unable to earn income due to a COVID-19 state or territory public health order. This may involve a lockdown, hotspot or movement restrictions.
You may be eligible for this payment if you live or work in the Municipality of Katherine including Tindal in the Northern Territory.
Claims open from Friday 12 November 2021 for the relevant period 5 to 7 November 2021.
Check if you’re eligible and how to claim the COVID-19 Disaster Payment:
- if you don’t get a Centrelink or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) payment
- if you do get a Centrelink or DVA payment.
