Income reporting requirements if you get an income support payment and family assistance

You still need to report your and your partner’s income every two weeks for your income support payment after you update your family income estimate for family assistance.

If you’re getting an income support payment such as Parenting Payment, you must report your and your partner’s income every two weeks.

You can report your income in any of these ways, by:

If your partner gets an income support payment, they’ll need to do this too.

If you also get Family Tax Benefit or Child Care Subsidy you’ll need to update your family income estimate before the start of each financial year.

You’ll also need to update your estimate at any time during the financial year if your circumstances change.
