How much you got depended on the hours of work you lost.

If you we’re eligible, you may have got $450 if any of the following apply:

  • you lost at least 8 hours of work
  • you lost less than 20 hours of work
  • you couldn’t work a full day for that week.

If you we’re eligible, you may have got $750 if you lost 20 hours or more that week.

A full day of your usual work is what you were scheduled to work but could not because of a restricted movement order. This includes not being able to attend a full time, part time or casual shift of less than 8 hours.

The payment amount reduced over 2 weeks after 80% of people 16 years or older in Victoria had 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

For the 5 to 11 November 2021 relevant period, COVID-19 Disaster Payment was one payment of $450. This was if you’ve lost more than 8 hours or a full day of work.

For the 12 to 18 November 2021 relevant period, COVID-19 Disaster Payment was one payment of $320. This was if you’ve lost more than 8 hours or a full day of work.
