How much you get depends on the hours of work you lost.
If you’re eligible, you’ll get $450 if any of the following apply:
- you lost at least 8 hours of work
- you lost less than 20 hours of work
- you couldn’t work a full day for that week.
If you lost 20 hours or more for that week, you’ll get $750 if you’re eligible.
If you’re eligible on one day during a relevant period, we’ll pay you the full payment amount for that period.
The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is tax free income. You don’t need to include it in your tax return.
