Is having a nominee still working well for you?

7 February 2023

If you have a person or organisation who acts on your behalf, you can review or change that at any time.

There are two types of nominees you may have:

  • a payment nominee who gets your Centrelink payments for you
  • a correspondence nominee who acts for you.

You may even have both types of nominees.

You should consider if you still need this level of support and if your current nominee suits your circumstances.

If you want to end your nominee arrangement you can do this at any time. You can do this online, by calling us or visiting a service centre.

Read about how to cancel a nominee arrangement using your Centrelink online account.
