If you are not eligible for Medicare, you can still get proof of your COVID-19 vaccinations online.

You can use the Individual Healthcare Identifiers (IHI) service.

The IHI service is a way to get proof of who you are.

We call it the IHI service.

You can use the IHI service through your myGov account.

If you don’t have a myGov account, you can set one up.

If you don’t have an IHI yet, you need to give us proof of who you are on myGov.

You can show us your Australian driver licence.

Or you can show us both your:

  • passport
  • Australian visa.

A visa is a document that says you can go to another country for a certain amount of time.


This might be to:

  • travel

  • work

  • live.

We will:

  • make sure you are who you say you are

  • use your details to create your IHI

  • link the IHI service to your myGov account.

You can use the IHI service to look at your:

  • certificate
  • statement.

How to get proof using myGov

Sign in to your myGov account.

Select ‘IHI Service’.

Select ‘Proof of COVID-19 vaccination’.

Select your name.

To get your certificate, select ‘View COVID-19 digital certificate (PDF)’.

To get your statement, select ‘View immunisation history statement (PDF)’.

You can also get a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination proof through My Health Record.
