If you get fringe benefits for an electric car, you still need to include the gross amount in your adjusted taxable income.
If your employer is a not-for-profit organisation that is exempt from fringe benefits tax, you should include the gross amount as exempt reportable fringe benefits. If your employer is different, you’ll need to include the gross amount as other reportable fringe benefits.
You need to do this for all of the following:
- Carer Allowance
- Child Care Subsidy
- Child Support assessments
- Commonwealth Senior Health card
- Dad and Partner Pay
- Family Tax Benefit
- Parental Leave Pay.
You also need to do this for the parental income and means tests for the following:
- ABSTUDY
- Assistance for Isolated Children Scheme
- Youth Allowance.
